About Montana Moving Totes
A local Bozeman company on a mission to make moving easier and more sustainable.
Born from a Bozeman Mess
It began with a cluttered garage needing a full clear-out and reorganization. With two kids and lots to sort, it couldn't be done in one day, so we needed step-by-step storage. Cardboard boxes from FB Marketplace and hardware stores were too costly and wasteful. Tracking down dozens of cardboard boxes and rolls of tape was taking time, creating a dumpster full of waste, and the sinking feeling that there had to be a better way. We found a solution with reusable plastic totes that we could fill and stack as needed! This worked for our mess and we realized this could be used to help move.
That's when Montana Moving Totes was born. We saw how cities across the country were embracing reusable moving containers, and we knew Bozeman — a community that deeply cares about its environment — was the perfect place to bring this concept.
Today, we've helped tens of families and businesses across the Gallatin Valley make their moves cleaner, easier, and greener. Each tote in our fleet replaces thousands of cardboard boxes over its lifetime.
We're not just a rental company — we're on a mission to eliminate single-use moving materials from Montana, one messy move at a time.
